‘The Work’ is a great way to unravel and solve traumatic experiences and to take a look at the thoughts we believe in.
Just a short introduction; Byron Katie, a lady who lived more than 10 years from one depression in the other and knew no way out, until she was on the ground on a given day and got a ‘mindful’ moment. She had no feeling of depression at all, she seemed to be outside herself, observing how it could be so that she felt so. She was researching this feeling and she noticed that when she believed her thoughts, she became depressed again and if she didn’t believe her thoughts, nothing was going on and she even felt quiet. There and at that time her method ‘The Work’ arose and this revelation has become her life’s work. She now helps, through her events (meetings around the world where she does with people ‘The Work’, courses and books 35 years later every day millions of people all over the world with her revelation. ‘The Work’ consists of 4 simple questions. 4 questions that will change your life, followed by reversals:
- Is it true?
- Can you absolutely know it’s true?
- How do you react, what happens when you believe those thoughts?
- Who would you be without those thoughts?
We also often live in someone else’s mind. Katie says it clearly: ‘There are 3 things you have to keep well separated’. ‘With 2 of them we should not want to be involved.’

- God’s business (or call it the matters of the Universe)
